Argentine Tango With Alla

Tango is my passion

Let me share it with you

About Alla

My relationship with music started early. My father, first oboist in Russia’s Mariinsky Theatre, would bring me to ballet rehearsals where I would watch from under the seats. At 3 I started ballet myself. As a teenager I switched to ballroom dance, competing in waltz tournaments. And while I enjoyed dancing both, socially and competitively, neither ballet nor ballroom could compare when I started Argentine Tango. I was in love.

I began my tango training with Fernanda Cajide, then branched out to lessons and workshops with instructors from all over. I decided to jump in with both feet, taking on private and group lessons, performing in different venues, and competing in the 2011 US National Championship. In 2012 I organized my first BOSthón marathon, building it into a community of 400+ participants from around the world. My second marathon, iTango, at Cornell University, started a few years later.

Tango is my passion, and I hope to share it with you. If you want to learn more, send me an email at

We had a private dance lesson with Alla for my husband, my mother and her boyfriend. Alla was great and very patient as none of us had any prior training. She taught us about Argentine Tango and it’s social rules, we had a great time. Thanks for a great experience!

I took several lessons with Alla and I’ve learned more than in any previous tango classes and workshops. All’s is a gifted teacher super nice and welcoming person. My tango life changed for the best with her lessons.
